What do I need to file?

  • Vehicle information like year make model, unit number

  • Fuel receipts showing number of gallons purchased

  • Number of miles driven in each state

How often do I have to file?

You are required to file every quarter.

What is an IFTA decal?

A sticker or decal that is required to be displayed on the CMV showing you are registered with IFTA. You can purchase them through your IFTA account for $3.00 each set.

What if I very rarely go in other states?

If you don’t cross state lines on a regular basis then you can purchase a temporary trip permit.
